Starbucks is planning another wage hike for April of 2018 for 150,000+ hourly and salaried US workers. Spokesman Reggie Borges quotes, “Everyone is getting a raise — the level they get depends on the region and the cost of living.” Many other companies have announced bonuses or wage increases since it was announced last month that the corporate income tax was reduced from 35% to 21%.

Along with this, they are altering their store-level policy so that fathers whose partners give birth also get 6-weeks with 100% pay. Corporate employees will get 12 weeks at 100% pay, and another 6 weeks for birth moms.
