Last week they were awarded “Best New Brewery” at the Oregon Beer Awards! And not only this, but they have been nominated for USA Today’s Top Ten Brewpubs in America.

As you may already be aware, Wayfinder Beer launched back in October of 2016; us here at Urban Works were given the task of identifying a central location within the city that could accommodate the various needs of a fully functioning brewery, as well as the demanding requirements of a restaurant / bar. Given Portland’s stringent zoning code, this was no small feat. The flexible space that was eventually identified was a IG1 mixed-use building that fell within the new EOS zone. As a bonus, the 3,000 SF parking lot was converted to one of the best open-air patios in Portland. It is a great place to sit outside and enjoy a refreshing beer and delicious food in Portland’s ever changing central east side. Word quickly spread about this lively and bustling bar – it didn’t take long for the rest of the country to hear about it! In HopCulture’s “10 Best Brewpubs of 2017”, Wayfinder Beer sat at the top of the list next to other great brewpubs like Circa Brewing and La Cabra Brewing.

Not only were they named one of the top ten brewpubs, they also were awarded “Best New Oregon Brewery” by The New School, an online source for craft beer, cider and mead industry news in the NW.
