Feb. 1-3 : Portland Winter Light Festival

This year’s festival will be displaying more than 100 artists and organizations from across the West coast. There will be featured illuminated art installations, performances, and kinetic fire sculptures all throughout the city. Some of the areas participating in the festival include OMSI, PNCA, Cathedral Park, and the World Trade Center.

Feb. 1-10: Hotel Laviathan at the Deep End Theater*

Portland artist Malcom McClinton will be displaying his unique, horror-based improv show starting in February at the Deep End Theater. The theater quotes, “Not for the faint of heart, Hotel Leviathan explores the place where your nightmares go on vacation… room by room. ”

Feb.1-25: Robert Frank at the Blue Sky Gallery

Robert Frank invented the photography style ‘street photography’-you have probably seen his most well known book, The Americans, at some point in your life. Don’t miss this opportunity to view his new show, Books and Film 1947-2018, and witness works of art from one of the best photographers in history.

Feb. 2: Portland Seafood & Wine Festival 

Do you like seafood? Do you like wine? This is the festival for you! Join over 10,000 people and choose from over 50 wines from wineries around Oregon, eat some seafood, and drink more wine!

Feb. 3-4: Heart of Darkness Imperial Stout Fest*

This is the 4th annual Heart of Darkness Fest, hosted by our friends over at Imperial Bottle Shop and Taproom! It will be hosted at their original location on Division and at their new Alberta location all day Sat. and Sun. They will be featuring a lineup of 37 imperial stouts (16 at Division and 21 at Alberta).

Feb. 7: Jacobsen Salt Co. Presents: My Salty Valentine Happy

A special pre-Valentine’s Happy Hour tasting party. Whether you’re feeling sweet or salty this year we have some treats for you.

Come enjoy some wonderful Love & Squalor wines, Cocanú chocolate, Jacobsen’s very own Salty Chocolate Caramels, and hear the sultry sounds of local folk duo Starling Curve.

Feb. 9-10: Vintalier Valentines Day

Over 175+ makers will be displaying and selling their work for this weekend in February! Join them for a night of art, food, drinks, music, and merch,

Feb. 11: Worst Day of the Year Ride

The Worst Day of the Year Ride is a fundraising community bicycle ride benefiting the Community Cycling Center!

Feb. 12 : Shalom Y’all Grand Opening

Our friends Kasey Mills and John Gorham are opening their new location of Shalom Y’all! This restaurant will be serving dishes from Shalom Y’all West, Mediterranean Exploration Company and new dishes from Kasey’s trip to Isreal. Don’t miss this event, it will be delicious!

Feb. 16: Chinese New Year Celebration at the Lan Su Garden

Feb. 21: Lyndee Mah & A String Ensemble at Floyd’s Coffee Shop*

Lyndee Mah, a vocal performing artist based in Portland, Oregon, consistently captivates and entertains audiences with her powerful and supple voice. She has been described as “a pure-voiced diva” by Dance Magazine and as “completely magnetic” by Paperback Jukebox

Feb. 25: Portland Brunch Festival

From 10am-3pm on on Feb. 25, take some friends to the Leftbank Annex for brunch! Some of the vendors include: Voodoo Donuts, Chatty Hen, Kite Hill, Cafe de Crepe, and Casa Lola!

Feb. 28: Oregon Beer Awards Ceremony

24 categories and eight additional awards will be represented and presented at this year’s Oregon Beer Awards! This red carpet event will celebrate gold, silver, and bronze medalists of beer for one night at the Revolution Hall.
