Portland is a unique and wonderful city that has and continues to attract residents and visitors from all over the world. It is divided into east and west by the Willamette River, which snakes through the center and Burnside dividing north and south Portland. Within each quadrant (SW, NW, NE and SE) there are numerous unique neighborhoods that attract retailers varying in scale from large national chains to small, local boutiques and restaurants. This and a diverse population is what helps make Portland a vibrant and unique city.
