Neighborhood Description: Named after the historic Hollywood Theatre on NE Sandy, this district in Northeast Portland offers an eclectic mix of old and new. The theatre itself, Poor Richard's Steakhouse and Paulsen's Pharmacy bring us years of history, while today's retail juggernauts Trader Joe's and the soon to be complete Whole Foods draw eastsiders from all around the district. In addition to the immediate neighborhood dwellers, residents from the nearby Grant Park, Laurelhurst, Irvington and Rose City neighborhoods support this lively district faithfully. Hollywood activities include Third Thursday, Hollywood Farmers' Market, the Junior Rose Parade and the annual Veterans Day parade.
