Neighborhood Description: St. John’s features a wonderfully in tact downtown center with a splendid core of historic storefronts and framed by the iconic Portland landmark, the St. John’s bridge. Fiercely supported by its residents, the St. John’s neighborhood is located at the northwest tip of North Portland and is a hub of commercial activity for the area. The historic downtown features an array of local restaurants, retailers and neighborhood services. Parallel to downtown, national and regional credit tenants have populated the strip commercial centers serving the outer reaches of North Portland and NW Portland across the St. John’s bridge.  Pent up demand for goods and services continues to fuel the revitalization of the area. Recent additions to St. John’s include Leisure Public House, St. Ladybug Coffee, St. John’s Coffee Roaster, and Legong Gelato. With the University of Portland and the Port of Portland located in the area, in addition to a vast assortment of small businesses, there is a consistent demand for goods and services in the area. The core demographic moving to the area includes young families and first time home-owners.
