Neighborhood Description: Belmont neighborhood is a colorful mix of independent and regional retailers in historic buildings with eye-catching graphics, storefronts and signage. Local Portland operators have been known to flourish in this environment. The neighborhood is also known for it’s organic and vegetarian-friendly local businesses, namely Laughing Planet, Paradox Palace, and Smart Monkey Foods. Zupan’s Market anchors the neighborhood and is located at 33rd and SE Belmont in the Belmont Dairy building, a newer mixed-use, urban infill project.
