Division/Clinton

Haven Coffee

Neighborhood Description: For many years, the Division neighborhood has struggled to reemerge as an area where businesses could thrive. In the 70’s, city planning temporarily moved out businesses to build a highway to Gresham, and in the 80’s, Division Street was rezoned to residential. However, highway plans were canceled and Division Street is zoned once again to allow commercial properties. Now that things are back to normal and with the help of Portland’s Urban Growth Boundary, businesses are thriving on both Division and Clinton Streets, making this neighborhood known for eclectic taste in theatres, restaurants, and shops. This neighborhood is one block south of the residential Ladd’s Addition and Mount Tabor neighborhoods.
