Urban Works Lunch Break: Stacked Sandwiches

We took a trip to Stacked for lunch... it was delicious.

The Central Eastside is growing fast, and along with it, our dining options. The latest and greatest to join the neighborhood’s food scene is Stacked Sandwich Shop. The shop has been open now for about two months and we are becoming regulars. A few of our favorite menu items are the Poached Albacore Salad (perfectly tossed with an orange calabrian chili vinaigrette and topped with an expertly cooked soft boiled egg (not too firm, not too runny), Smoked Turkey Reuben (Granny Smith Apple adds the perfect sweet/tart combination you never knew you were missing in a reuben), Wedge Salad (give me all of the bleu cheese!), and the Oxtail French Dip (recently praised by The Oregonian as one of Portland’s Best Sandwiches, read the full article here).

If you haven’t tried Stacked yet, you are missing out. The sandwiches and salads alone are worth the trip, but Stacked just sweetened the pot by announcing their happy hour featuring new, budget friendly menu items including a Bison Double Cheeseburger, Apple Jalapeno Fritters, and Fried Turkey Skins (excuse me while I wipe the drool from my chin). Add to that $2 canned domestic beers and you can’t lose.
