About Alma Chocolates

Starting in 2011, head baker Ruth E Fox began creating choco-centric cookies and cakes with a focus on creating and serving goodies made using top notch, artisanal ingredients with an eye toward capturing the comfort and satisfaction that comes from a home-baked treat.

Expansion goals

Alma Chocolates' first location is in NE Portland with their commercial bakery a mile from the shop. For their second location Alma was looking for a unique space to not only house a retail storefront to sell their chocolates but to also house their commercial kitchen.

A unique retail flex space

Housed in the Weatherly Creamery Building, along with Weatherly Creamery and Renata Restaurant, Alma Chocolates built out a salon that opens up to show their commercial kitchen at work. Stop by and have a sip of drinking chocolate, and watch them make the chocolates you're taking home for dessert.
